Admission Requirements for Transfer Students -

Applicants with fewer than 60 transferable semester credits are considered lower-level transfers. Upper-level transfers are those with 60 or more transferable semester credits. Both groups are required to have a cumulative 2.0 GPA in all college work and be in good academic standing at the last institution attended.

USF accepts transfer credit from institutions that are regionally accredited at the time the credits are earned.

Students who will enter USF with fewer than 60 transferable semester credit hours must meet all freshman and transfer requirements. They must submit:

• an application for admission,
• a non-refundable $30 application fee,
• an official high school transcript,
• SAT or ACT scores sent directly to USF by the testing agency, and
• an official transcript from each college or university attended (current up to time of application)

Students who will enter USF with 60 or more transferable semester credit hours must submit:

• an application for admission,

Students who earn an Associate of Arts degree from a Florida public community college are guaranteed admission to the University of South Florida. Students who expect to earn an A. A. degree should apply at least one semester prior to completing the degree and submit a partial transcript to USF. Admission to the University with an A. A. degree does not guarantee admission to limited access programs or majors.
