University of South Florida Alumni Association Home

The USF Pinellas County Alumni Chapter is committed to fulfilling the mission of the Alumni Association; to connect alumni, support students and to strengthen the University.  The chapter in fulfilling this mission seeks to identify, inform, and involve alumni in networking opportunities, social events, and keeps alumni abreast of all activities happening at their alma mater.

Pinellas County Alumni Chapter:

The Pinellas County Alumni Chapter serves nearly 28,000 Bulls in the County and is always looking for new members to join in the fun!  We hold chapter/board meetings every month. Check the listing of events for details.

Pinellas County Alumni Awards 2008 :

Do you know a USF alumnus who has excelled in business, community or campus service? Nominate him or her for a 2008 Pinellas County Distinguished Alumni Award. Award categories are: Regional Chancellor’s Award, Outstanding Young Alumnus (35 and younger), Lester Tuttle Award, Bull Blaster, Distinguished Alumnus Award and Corporate Campus Service Award. Self-nominations are strongly encouraged as well. For a full description of each category please view the nomination form (Nomination_Forms_2008). Completed nomination forms should be mailed to Katie Giglio at USF St. Petersburg, 140 7th Ave. South, WMS 200, St. Petersburg, Florida 33701. All nomination materials must be received by Friday, February 29, 2008. Award winners will be recognized on Friday, April 11 at the Pinellas County Alumni Awards Ceremony.

USF St. Petersburg Alumnus Wins America's Cup-Like many in our community, USF St. Petersburg is elated by the stellar achievement of local world-class sailor - and USFSP alum - Ed Baird in the 32nd America’s Cup.  As helmsman, Baird guided Alinghi to a thrilling victory over its intrepid challenger, Emirates Team New Zealand, in the best-of-nine series. USF St. Petersburg is planning to honor Baird, Class of ’82, at a future campus celebration when he and his family return to their hometown. Baird received the USF St. Petersburg’s Regional Chancellor’s Award in 2005 at the USF Pinellas County Alumni Chapter’s annual Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony. Baird’s sailing accomplishments continue to bring immense pride and distinction to his Alma Mater. Bravo Ed and Alinghi!
