Internships provide valuable career-related work experience and a chance to test out your career choice. They typically require a one-semester commitment, and may continue until graduation if acceptable to both employer and student. Internships may be paid or unpaid, and have the option for credit.

While paid, not-for-credit internships may begin anytime during the semester, internships for credit are linked to the academic calendar. The Career Center does not offer internship credit. In order to receive academic credit you must check with the academic department of your major. Each department has its own requirements.
