Welcome to the Government and International Affairs (GIA) Program at the University of South Florida St Petersburg.
The University of South Florida St. Petersburg (USFSP) is the largest of three fiscally autonomous regional campuses of the University of South Florida System. It is located on Bayboro Harbor in a quiet and beautiful area of downtown St. Petersburg. More than 4000 students are enrolled at USFSP. This number is expected to increase significantly within the foreseeable future.
The GIA Program is a unit of the College of Arts and Sciences, located in Davis Hall, overlooking Bayboro Harbor. The program contains more than 200 undergraduate students. Students in the program are drawn from all over the world and are taught by a faculty with a rich and diverse national and international background.
Students receive the undivided attention of instructors in small-sized classrooms that are furnished with state-of-the-art instructional equipment. The goal of the program is to help students develop valuable skills in critical thinking and analysis, scholarly and professional research, and writing. Graduates of the GIA Program are prepared for more advanced studies and/or immediate employment in a variety of fields in the public and private sectors.
