Criminology Student Association

The Criminology Student Association (CSA) was founded in 2002 with the purpose of offering students the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the criminal justice system and employment opportunities within the system.  Involvement in the CSA is a great activity for criminology students.

The CSA typically meets once per month.  These meeting may include guest speakers from various aspects of the system, as well as speakers to inform students about internships, graduate school, and even law school.  Additional activities have, in the past, included tours of the local county jail and a state prison, as well as a K-9 demonstration by the St. Petersburg Police Department.  Fundraising activities and volunteer opportunities are also a part of the CSA.

The CSA is also a way to gain leadership experience in the college environment.  Elections for President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer are held annually.

Joining the CSA is a great way to become actively engaged in university life.  For information on joining CSA contact Dr. Cecil at dcecil@stpt.usf.edu.

Criminology Student Association t-shirts are available for $10 from Dr. Cecil at DAV 284.  Available in green or grey; sizes small-x-large.
