Center for Science & Policy Applications for the Coastal Environment (C-SPACE)
Led by ecologists Christopher D'Elia and James Gore, the Center for Science and Policy Applications for Coastal Environment (C-SPACE) was created in 2005 with funding from the National Center for Environmental Research of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The primary aim of this Center is to undertake research on problems affecting coastal areas, with an initial focus on Florida’s Gulf Coast. C-SPACE conducts interdisciplinary research within the following general areas:
