Mr. Walker joined the University of South Florida St. Petersburg in 2002 following a 27-year career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen, having been a partner in that firm since 1986 and most recently serving as the regional leader of the firm’s Assurance and Business Advisory practice throughout Florida and the Caribbean.
In addition to his work at USF St. Petersburg, Mr. Walker is currently a member of the Board of Directors of four public companies: Chico’s FAS, Inc. (NYSE: CHS), First Advantage Corporation (NASDAQ: FADV), CommVault Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CVLT) and Technology Research Corporation, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRCI), and he served as a member of the Board of Directors of Paradyne Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: PDYN) from 2003 until its sale and merger in September 2005. Mr. Walker chairs the Audit Committee of the Boards of Chico’s, First Advantage and CommVault, chairs the Compensation Committee of the Board of TRC, and serves on the Executive, Nominating, Corporate Governance and Special Committees of the Boards of one or more of these companies.
Mr. Walker is also a member of the Advisory Council of the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund and has been active advising various organizations on corporate governance matters. He is a member of the AICPA, FICPA, ACFE, and FEI, and has been involved in leadership roles and Board positions with several civic and charitable organizations throughout his career.
