MBA - Prerequisite Requirements

The prerequisite requirements consist of 10 undergraduate business concepts and principles courses. If you took these courses or their equivalent at an AACSB accredited business school within the past 7 years and made a grade of B or higher, you may be able to waive out of these requirements. However, for those who need to meet some or all of these prerequisite core business course requirements,there are two options:

You can take the undergraduate three-credit courses that are equivalent to the requirements - each of these will be one semester long and would be taken in the undergraduate program at any of the USF system campuses where they are offered. There are a total of ten courses and you would pay the normal per credit undergraduate tuition for these plus the cost of textbooks.

OR

You can take the MBA Essentials non-credit courses, which are pass/fail and held only here in St. Petersburg. Seven MBA Essentials (replacing nine of the core course requirements) can be taken in one semester. The fee per module for the MBA Essentials is $500, up to a total of $2500 for 5, 6, or 7 modules-- with all books and materials included in this amount. The MBA Essentials are internet-delivered courses handled via Savant, and are held sequentially in two week periods with class meetings only on two Saturdays for each of module.  You will also need the two-credit-hour QMB 6305 graduate course in order to meet all of the prerequisites.
