Guest Teaching Internships

A Guest Teaching Internship is a teaching internship outside of the USF St. Petersburg service area (i.e., outside of Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando, and Manatee Counties) that is arranged with another regionally accredited university. We allow a candidate to do a Guest Teaching Internship for his or her final internship in the case of an emergency or in extreme, extenuating circumstances. Prior approval must be received from the Office of Clinical Experiences. When we permit a guest internship, the intern is required to work closely with the Office of Clinical Experiences to ensure a successful Guest Teaching Internship. Because of the additional expenses incurred in the case of a Guest Teaching Internship, we also require the candidate to pay additional fees for supervision or for other expenses typically associated with Guest Teaching Internships. These fees are the sole responsibility of the intern.
