UPCOMING SEMINARS
Campaign 2008: The National Political Conventions 2008 Democratic National Convention seminar-Headquarters: Regis University in Denver, CO August 17-29, 2008 2008 Republican National Convention seminar-Headquarters: Augsburg College in Minneapolis-St Paul, MN August 24 - September 5, 2008 The Washington Center has two-week programs that take place on site at the Democratic and Republican national conventions this summer. The conventions are the kick-off for the fall campaign, and, with the fieldwork placements provided by The Washington Center, students can get a great behind-the-scenes perspective and access to many great convention events. The Washington Center has been running these programs since 1984, and they have been life-changing experiences for many participants. We have received a number of inquiries from faculty about how they can participate in the program. One sure way (with a stipend and free housing) is to bring a group of 10 or more students and serve as a Faculty Leader. Another way is to come as a Faculty Fellow. Faculty Fellows are able to fully participate in all program activities and can be assigned to fieldwork positions if requested. Faculty Fellows can apply using our online application at http://www.campaign2008.info. We will waive the application fee for Faculty Fellows. Faculty Leader information is available by contacting us at C2008@twc.edu. Website: http://www.campaign2008.info Early Deadline: March 1 (Guaranteed space) Final Deadline: June 1 (Space-available basis)* Cost: $3,995 (with housing) or $3,495 (without housing) *Late fee of $100 applied.$3,995 with housing $3,495 without housing For more information, contact C2008@twc.edu.
