Email Accounts for USFSP Employees

For information on student email accounts, please see the Student E-mail Services page from Academic Computing at USF Tampa.

For assistance regarding "SPADMIN" Exchange email accounts, please call the USF Tampa IT University Services at (813) 974-1222.

Email changes: Campus Computing is in the process of moving its email accounts (stpete.usf.edu) to USF Gmail (mail.usf.edu). This page will be updated accordingly as this transition takes place.

Our current transition goals are: staff by March 30th, students and affiliates by May 1st, and faculty by June 30th. Most changes will be transparent to our users and we will meet with, or talk to, each user before making any modifications. Please email us if you have any questions.

Requesting an Account

In order to sign up for an email account, you must be a valid USF employee and complete the following requirements in chronological order. This process is similar to the process of requesting a "Bayboro" domain account for office and classroom computer access.

1. Get your USF-ID number.

Note: The USF ID number, or "U Number" is initiated with Human Resources upon hire. It's available within 48 hours of the first date of employment and will be printed on your USFCard (next step).

2. Get your USFCard.

a. Visit the Cashier's Office in the first floor of Bayboro Hall, room 132.
b. Pay the $10 fee and keep your receipt.
c. Visit the Instructional Media Department in the second floor of the Poynter Library, room 207.
d. Fill out the USFCard application located on one of the tables.
e. Present your completed application, cashier's receipt and a form of legal identification, such as your driver's license, to the Media Department staff.

3. Sign up for a USF NetID.

a. Have your USF ID card handy.
b. Use the USF NetID Access < https://netid.usf.edu/una/> Web site to sign up for your own USF NetID.
c. Follow the on-screen prompts for identification and activation. This process may provide you with an email address.

4. Sign up for an email account.

In most cases, the process of signing up for a NetID will automatically provide you with a "mail.usf.edu" account. If it does not, you may also sign up for an email address by using this link: http://mail.usf.edu/emailsignup/.

Accessing your Email Account

All USF Gmail accounts are accessible through the Google Apps at USF Web site < http://mail.usf.edu/ >. Alternatively, these accounts can also be configured for Microsoft Outlook and other email applications using the instructions available from the USF IT Web site.

If your access preference is Outlook or another email application and you need assistance, please submit a service ticket.
