Faculty Web Sites

Each faculty member at USF St. Petersburg may request Web site storage space on the Campus Computing Web server, commonly known around campus as the "W drive". Faculty Web sites may only be used educational purposes — to assist in a technology-oriented learning experience. Here are some sample uses for faculty Web sites:

• Academic, industry positions
• Biography information, experience
• Community service
• Contact information
• Courses, curriculum
• Documents, forms
• Hyperlinks
• Publications
• Reference or indexes

Faculty members may request their Web site storage by submitting a service call through our online ticket system or calling Help Desk at (727) 873-HELP(4357). Once the storage space has been allocated, the "W drive" will show up as a network, or mapped, drive in Windows Explorer. Published Web sites are accessible by typing http://www.stpt.usf.edu/your_user_name/ in your Web browser's address field.
