Our Mission

Enrollment Services provides information and services needed by prospective students to make the decision to attend USF St. Petersburg; to be admitted and registered for the first time; and to obtain financial assistance.   Continuing students are advised on the requirements and actions necessary to remain enrolled, continue to receive financial aid, and progress toward graduation.

In order to attain these goals, the Enrollment Services Unit is committed to:

The function of each office in Enrollment Services is to support the missions of the unit and USFSP.

Academic Advising Center

The mission of the Academic Advising Center is to assist students in developing an educational plan consistent with their life goals and objectives.   Advising assists students in:

• evaluating their progress toward the realization of their goals,
• making decisions based on accurate information,
• understanding institutional policies and procedures, and
• understanding institutional support services available to them.  

For the purposes of recruiting and retention, the services listed above are provided to potential, continuing, and non-degree seeking students.   Additionally, advising assists the university in program, policy, and class schedule development or modification by providing information gained from direct and regular contact with students.

Office of Admissions and Records

The mission of the Office of Admissions and Records is to build and maintain a diverse and dynamic student body that enriches the educational experience at the University of South Florida and the communities that it serves by:

• providing personalized service to students, faculty, staff, prospective students and interested community entities to facilitate students' successful admission, registration and completion of all educational goals,
• serving as a liaison to students, faculty, staff regarding policies, procedures and system management, and
• promoting the University to the communities served.

Office of Financial Aid and Veterans Services

The mission of the USF St. Petersburg Office of Financial Aid is to assist students to secure financial aid and to foster an understanding of financial aid's role in facilitating access to higher education.   This is accomplished by providing information and guidance to students and parents regarding the various financial aid programs and their qualifying requirements.   The professional staff is available to assist students in understanding their financial aid options and the complexities of the regulations and processes which will affect them.

• encouraging students to explore all avenues for researching financial aid options and keeping track of their status via internet locations,
• providing information about scholarship searches, online Free Application for Federal Student Aid and OASIS,
• helping students become familiar with how to use and interpret these resources.
• providing individual counseling to students with respect to their individual financial aid situation and the importance of processing their paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.

Office of Prospective Student Outreach

The mission of the Office of Prospective Student Outreach is to increase the enrollment of students possessing the credentials and commitment to excel academically at USF St. Petersburg by:

• providing all prospective students and parents with the accurate and timely information required to make the decision to attend USF St. Petersburg,
• identifying, tracking and developing a relationship with the students for whom USFSP is a good fit, and
• maintaining good relations with the high school and community college counselors and other external constituents who influence students' decisions regarding where to attend college.
