Grants
Grants are federal funds that you do not repay. To apply for federal grants, you must complete the FAFSA.
Federal Pell Grant
- Awarded to undergraduate students who have not yet received a bachelor's or professional degree,
- Eligibility is determined by a student's Expected Family Contribution (EFC), which is calculated from the FAFSA,
- Prorated to the number of hours enrolled each semester,
- Student must maintain Satisfactory Progress.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
- Priority deadline to apply is March 1st before the start of each aid year,
- Awarded to exceptionally needy undergraduate students,
- Prorated to the number of hours enrolled each semester,
- Student must maintain Satisfactory Progress.
Florida Student Assistance Grant (FSAG)
- Deadline to apply is July 15th before the start of each aid year,
- Awarded to pell-eligible, undergraduate, Florida resident students,
- Prorated to the number of hours enrolled each semester,
- Student must maintain a 2.0 at USF.
USF Grant
- Priority deadline to apply is March 1st before the start of each aid year,
- Awarded to undergraduate and graduate students with financial need,
- Prorated to the number of hours enrolled each semester,
- Student must maintain a 2.0 at USF.
