Grants

Grants are federal funds that you do not repay.  To apply for federal grants, you must complete the FAFSA. 

Federal Pell Grant

• Awarded to undergraduate students who have not yet received a bachelor's or professional degree,
• Eligibility is determined by a student's Expected Family Contribution (EFC), which is calculated from the FAFSA,
• Prorated to the number of hours enrolled each semester,
• Student must maintain Satisfactory Progress.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

• Priority deadline to apply is March 1st before the start of each aid year,
• Awarded to exceptionally needy undergraduate students,

• Prorated to the number of hours enrolled each semester,
• Student must maintain Satisfactory Progress.

Florida Student Assistance Grant (FSAG)

• Deadline to apply is July 15th before the start of each aid year,
• Awarded to pell-eligible, undergraduate, Florida resident students,
• Prorated to the number of hours enrolled each semester,
• Student must maintain a 2.0 at USF.

USF Grant

• Priority deadline to apply is March 1st before the start of each aid year,
• Awarded to undergraduate and graduate students with financial need,
• Prorated to the number of hours enrolled each semester,
• Student must maintain a 2.0 at USF.
