College of Arts & Sciences

College of Business 
Criteria for the following scholarships are on the main USFSP College of Business Webpage.

  • Program of Accountancy Scholarship
    Scholarships of $500 - $1,000 will be awarded to exceptional undergraduate and graduate accounting students at USF St. Petersburg. To be eligible to receive these scholarships you must meet the following requirements: full-time or part-time enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at USF St. Petersburg, degree-seeking in Accounting and minimum 3.0 GPA.  Offered only in Fall and Spring semesters pending available funds.
  • Teresa & Paul Mueller Endowed Scholarship in Accounting
    This endowed scholarship fund is offering $1,000 scholarships to outstanding USF St. Petersburg accounting students.  Enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at USF St. Petersburg is required and must be degree-seeking in Accounting.  Qualities being considered are GPA, extracurricular activities and Leadership Roles.  Offered only in Fall and Spring pending available funds.
  • The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, Suntrust and Fowler White Boggs Banker Accounting Scholarship
    A Scholarship of $3,000 will be awarded to an exceptional undergraduate or graduate accounting student at USF St. Petersburg. To be eligible to receive this scholarship you must meet the following requirements: full-time or part-time enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at USF St. Petersburg, degree-seeking in Accounting (MBAs must be pursuing Forensic Accounting or Taxation concentrations) and minimum 3.0 GPA.  Offered only in Spring semester pending available funds.
  • The Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) Accounting Scholarship
    The FICPA offers $500-$1,500 scholarships to degree seeking accounting students.  Applicants must be planning to sit for the CPA exam and have a desire to work in Florida.  The eligibility requirements are:  must be an accounting student, full–time or part-time enrollment status and completed junior year.
  • The Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) Suncoast Chapter Accounting Scholarship
    The Suncoast Chapter of the Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) offers $500-$1,500 scholarships to a USF St. Petersburg Accounting Major, "5th year" student, or MBA student pursuing accounting concentrations. Offered only in Fall and Spring semesters pending available funds.
  • Gregory Sharer & Stuart, P.A. Accounting Scholarships
    The firm of Gregory Sharer & Stuart, P.A., CPAs, a public accounting firm based in St. Petersburg, Florida, offers scholarships valued at $500-$1,500 to accounting majors at USF St. Petersburg.  To be eligible to receive this scholarship you must meet the following requirements: full-time or part-time enrollment as an undergraduate (junior or senior) or graduate student at USF St. Petersburg, degree-seeking in Accounting (MBAs must be pursuing Forensic Accounting or Taxation concentrations) and minimum 3.3 GPA (including upper-level accounting courses).  Other criteria considered are residency, work experience and career goals.  Offered only in Fall and Spring semesters pending available funds.
  • Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) West Coast Chapter Accounting Scholarships
    The Florida West Coast Chapter of IIA is offers $1,000 scholarships to outstanding USF St. Petersburg students pursuing a degree in accounting.  The eligibility requirements include:  enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at USF St. Petersburg, degree-seeking in Accounting and minimum 3.0 G.P.A.  Offered only in Spring semester pending available funds.

College of Education
Criteria and application information for the following scholarships are on the main USFSP College of Education Webpage:

  • Minority Teacher Education Scholarship (MTES)
    $4,000 total ($2000 Fall, $2000 Spring), renewable up to two years.    
    The primary purpose of this scholarship program is to recognize select minority community college graduates and beginning education majors who are pursuing education careers in Florida public schools.
    Download the application from the Florida Fund for Minority Teachers website at http://www.ffmt.org.
    Deadline:  Submit application on or before August 1 for Fall semester and November 15 for Spring semester to the Dr. Juanita Fountain in the College of Education Office, Coquina Hall 201.
  • Frances Louise Stavros Scholarship
    The Frances Louise Stavros Scholarship in the College of Education at USF St. Petersburg has been provided through a generous gift from Dr. Gus A. Stavros in honor of his wife. This scholarship is based on both Financial Need and Academic Merit. Graduate student enrolled in an initial teacher certification program in the College of Education.Student must be enrolled at least half-time (5 hours Graduate). Student must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA.  Student must be a resident of Pinellas County.
    Deadline: March 1, 2008

USF St. Petersburg Honors Program
Criteria and application information for the Honors Program are on the main USFSP Honors Webpage.
To remain eligible for all the benefits of Honors, including scholarships, you must qualify for the University Honors Program, register for an Honors core course, and maintain a 3.3 USF GPA each semester. Remember, you must have a 3.3 USF and a 3.3 cumulative GPA to graduate with the University Honors Program designation. All courses, including repeated courses, are calculated in these figures.

College of Nursing (Tampa)
Criteria for the following scholarships are on the main USF Tampa College of Nursing Webpage:

  • Pat Vardell Endowed Nursing Scholarship
    $2,250 total ($1,125 fall semester, $1,125 spring semester)
    Student must be admitted into the College of Nursing and be a Pinellas County resident.
