SCHOLARSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP SUPPORT:

$11 Million ($10M Endowment and $1M Term)

Need-based scholarships at the undergraduate level and Fellowships at the graduate level address the future proactively by investing in USF St. Petersburg’s most precious resource…its students. The majority of our students rely on loans or other financial assistance to complete their education. The fortunate ones will graduate and begin careers already deep in debt. Many others will be forced to turn their backs on a higher education because of financial barriers. Our goal is to keep Florida’s best and brightest students in our state and assure, to the best of our ability, that no student is forced to decline a college education for financial reasons.

At the same time, merit-based scholarship and fellowships can be used to recognize distinguished success or extraordinary ability in academics, community service, athletics, leadership or other special characteristics. Student recipients would benefit from these type rewards by participating in educational opportunities and experiences that they may not otherwise be able to afford, such as unpaid undergraduate research internships, leadership training, attendance at national conferences as representatives of the University and study abroad.
