Admitted Students

Admission to USF St. Petersburg is competitive, so we would like to start by congratulating you on your achievement.  We only accept applicants who are likely to succeed in our challenging, but welcoming, academic environment.

There are a number of things you need to do before you arrive on the first day.

1.  Check that the information on your notice of admission is accurate.  It's much easier to correct information now than later.  If changes are needed, please email your changes to applyintl@stpt.usf.edu

2.  Make sure your immigration documents are in order.  Please contact us at applyintl@stpt.usf.edu if you have any questions about your immigration status, or if you are overseas and you want to know how to apply for a US visa.

3.  Make sure that your medical information is reported.  USF systemwide policies require us to ask for your medical history and immunization information.  More details are available at our health regulations site.

4.  Plan your health insurance coverage.  All USF students who are not permanent residents or citizens are required to obtain health insurance that meets certain standards.   More details are available at our health regulations site.

5.  Plan your housing.  USF St. Petersburg has new student housing in Residence Hall One.

6.  Plan to arrive before orientation (orientation also serves as our check-in meeting).

7.  Arrange a meeting with an academic advisor so you can register for classes.

8.  Only if you were admitted provisionally or conditionally, make sure you finalize your admission.  For details, visit the finalizing your admission page.
