Welcome to e-NEWS

USFSP's online newsletter

Inter-campus communications is taking a leap into the 21st century with the development of e-NEWS, USFSP's first, university-wide electronic newsletter.

Designed to strengthen and streamline inner-campus communications, e-NEWS is slated to evolve into a daily publication where staff, faculty, administrators and students can find the most up-to-date campus news.

Distributed and updated by USFSP's Media Office e-NEWS will offer breaking news, event coverage and announcements. It will function as as clearing house and archives source for campus news items and, in time, become the campus's main vehicle for up-to-date information.

In addition to news items and feature stories, e-NEWS will also carry many special features  including:

Faculty/Staff Profiles: Written by Media Office staff, these press releases and articles will feature both "new" and "old" faculty, staff and administrators. They are designed to introduce USFSP family members and highlight their various aspects of their lives and careers.

Student Profiles: This section will highlight students who are making a difference at USFSP and the community.

Higher Ed High on Congressman Davis’s Priority List

USF St. Petersburg Vice President and CEO Karen A. White, Deans Mark Durand, Vivian Fueyo, and Ron Hill shared their vision for the university and issues of concern with Congressman Jim Davis during his first visit to the downtown campus on Aug. 29. The administration’s enthusiasm was evident as information on USFSP’s growth and expansion of academic programs was shared. Other topics of discussion included the university’s master plan, the need for additional facilities and future construction projects under consideration.

Davis voiced his enthusiasm and commended the forward thinking of USFSP’s leadership team regarding an envisioned $30-million science and technology complex for which the University of South Florida is seeking state funds.

“It is great to hear you all talking about your goals and vision for USF St. Petersburg’s students,” said Davis.
