at the 17th
Annual Conference of the Society for Literature and Science, held in
Austin, Texas, from October 23 to 26, 2003. The title of her paper
was "'Doctor, Can't You Do Something?' Educating the General Public
about Limitation, Failure, and Mistake in Medicine."
