| USFSP’S
OWN STATE REPRESENTATIVE CHARLIE JUSTICE VISITS GOVERNMENT
CLASS
USFSP’s
own State Representative Charlie Justice visited Professor
Judithanne Scourfield McLauchlan’s American Government
class on Thursday, November 13th.
Representative Justice,
a USFSP alumnus and current staffer in the Academic Advising
Office, talked about how he got his start in politics (as
an intern on a state legislative campaign while a student
at USFSP) and about his legislative work in Tallahassee.
Students had lots of questions about Terri’s Law
as they had just written a paper about public opinion,
the media, and the recently enacted legislation that allowed
the Governor to order Terri Schiavo ’s feeding tube
be reinserted.
