SEARCH COMMITTEE NEWS

The search committee for the mulitcultural affairs coordinator would like to announce the following information: Five candidates for the mulitcultural coordinator's position have been selected for phone interviews. The interviews will be held in the VP conference room- BAY 220 on Monday, December 15th from 10 am to 1 pm.

The search committees for two postions have announced new web sites:

- Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs

- Assistant Vice President for Reaserch and Community Partnerships

COMMENCEMENT SET FOR SUNDAY AT 2PM, MAHAFFEY THEATER

USFSP GraduatesWhile student "participation in Commencement is optional" at least 186 graduates of USFSP will participate in the event.

USF President Judy Genshaft, VP/CEO Karen White, and the Deans of Arts and Sciences, Business, Education and Graduate Studies will be present to confer degrees earned in a variety of disciplines.

Participants need to be in the Sun Pavilion Room, Mahaffey Theater, Bayfront Center no later than 12:30 p.m.

Because guests MUST have a ticket for admission. Each registered participant has received 5 guest tickets.

Due to the closing of the University on Jan. 2, our New Student Orientation schedule has been revised -

New Student Orientation sessions will be offered as follows:

Thursday, December 18, 2003 5:30 - 9:00 p.m.
Friday, December 19, 2003 2:00 - 5:30 p.m.
Friday, January 9, 2003 2:00 - 5:30 p.m.

It is better for students to attend orientation prior to the start of classes so please encourage December registrations, but January is available for our later enrollees.

Donations will be delivered to the USF/YWCA Family Village and the ASAP Shelter--along with the good wishes of the USF St. Petersburg family.
