Blackboard has made numerous corrections to the system.
While most of the major bugs have been fixed, there are still
some performance problems being worked out that may cause
access problems during times of heavy load. An updated version
[6.0.14] will be installed at the end of January. This should
improve performance and fix most of the remaining issues.

FACULTY AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO THE OPENING CONCERT
OF THE 2004 PALLADIUM ENCORE CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES
First concert of the series is Thursday
evening, January 22. The performance by the Florida Orchestra
Chamber Players includes Mark Sforzini’s Winds
of Passion and the world premiere of a new work, Approaching
Midnight. Also on the program are works by Carl Nielsen
and Ludwig Spohr. Single tickets to Encore concerts are
just $15 ($12 for seniors and $10 for students). Season
passes for all eight concerts are also available for
$105 ($84 for seniors and $72 for students).
The festivities begin at 6:30 with a reception in the
lobby of the Palladium followed by the concert at 7:30.
A talk back session with the musicians and Florida Orchestra
conductor Susan Haig follows the performance in the Palladium’s
Great Room.
Series organizer, Dar Webb, states, “A goal of
the Encore Chamber Music series is to celebrate our hometown
heroes – the musicians and composers who live in
our community, and who teach and perform in our community.
In addition to being awesomely talented musicians, they’re
our friends and neighbors. The Encore concerts are a
chance to get to know these wonderful people. Plus, the
intimate acoustics of the Palladium bring the performance
right into your seat. It’s an incomparable way
to experience chamber music and learn about the people
who perform and write it.”
Parking is provided in the United Bank parking lot at
4th Avenue N between 3rd and 4th Streets, just a short
walk away from the Palladium, which is located at 253
5th Avenue, N.
