C. White, Instructor in Management Information Systems,
grew up in the projects in Brooklyn, NY. Leaving
the “frozen tundra” behind her, she came
to Florida and earned her Masters and Doctoral degrees.
She came to USF St. Petersburg in 1996 with 25 years
experience as a consultant in Information Systems
in industry. Presently, she is teaching in the College
of Business.

Honors and Awards Committee Deadline
is Today
The Honors & Awards Committee is seeking nominations
of students for Outstanding Senior, Who's Who in American
Colleges and Outstanding Graduate. These award recipients
are to be recognized at the Spring 2004 Commencement celebration.
Nomination forms and accompanying recommendations must be
submitted no later than 5 pm March 30. Forms are available
in the Student Affairs Office, Bay 111.
Please take time to nominate your outstanding students and
announce the deadlines in your classes and encourage students
to participate.

Deadline for submission of student proposals
is Thursday, April 1. Submissions may be given to James McHale,
PhD (DAV-258) or Ray Arsenault, PhD (SNL-100).
Tuesday, April 20, USF St. Petersburg will stage its inaugural
Tomorrow’s Leaders Symposium in Davis Hall Lobby. The
event, which is slated to become an annual one, will showcase
the innovative research and creative work that undergraduate
students have produced during the past academic year under
the tutelage and support of the our faculty.

Safety Department presents a series of campus safety seminars
Thursday, April 1 beginning at noon in Davis 103.

In 1990, five Florida college students were murdered by serial killer Danny
Rolling. The importance of personal safety is highlighted in
this fascinating presentation by the lead CSI for the case.
