More than 30 students attended the campus safety series
Thursday April 1.
Special speaker Martin
Snook, Alachua County Sheriff’s Office shared his
crime scene expirence and personal safety information
with students. Snook was lead crime scene investigator
in the 1990 in Gainesville when five Florida college
students were murdered.
Bicycle Safety & Theft Prevention, 1:30 pm
Officer Jonathan Dye, USFPD covered tips on how to ride safely, and prevent
bike theft.
Auto Theft & Carjacking Prevention, 2 pm
Officers Chip Wells and Johnny Harris discussed the latest
information on how students can protect themselves and their car.
Tomorrow’s
Leaders Symposium, deadline today
Deadline for submission of student proposals
is Thursday, April 1. Submissions may be given to James McHale,
PhD (DAV-258) or Ray Arsenault, PhD (SNL-100).
Tuesday, April 20, USF St. Petersburg hosts its inaugural
Tomorrow’s Leaders Symposium in Davis Hall Lobby. The
event will showcase
the innovative research and creative work that undergraduate
students have produced during the past academic year under
the tutelage and support of our faculty.

Book Fair Returns for Ninth Year this Friday April

Faculty and staff can browse through more
than 2,000 books at a special sale for our campus community
in 130 Davis Hall Friday, April 2 from 1-4 pm.
The Book Fair opens to the community Saturday,
April 3 from 9 am to noon.

St. Petersburg's first pep rally at BayWalk. Football Coach
Jim Leavitt, the Herd of Thunder Marching Band and cheerleaders
will be on hand to fire up fans for the Spring
Game at Raymond James Stadium that weekend. The pep rally
starts at 12:30 pm at BayWalk.

Susan Haig, conductor of the orchestra, will be at the reception to share a
preview of the evening’s program that includes the Herbert Cello Concerto
and the New World Symphony of Anton Dvorak.

USFSP USPS Vacancy - Office Manager in the
College of Arts and Sciences; Minimum requirements are high
school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of office
experience. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Computer experience. Prefer: Experience in a college/university
setting. Experience in purchasing, travel, leave, faculty
activity reporting and space data reporting. Familiarity
with USF processes to include FAST (initiating and receiving),
FAIR, OASIS and some BANNER. Experience supervising office
staff and students.
