GIS Workshop

Wednesday & Thursday, May 17 & 18 from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. – Workshop on Geographical Information Systems (GIS) for Beginners.

Blood Drive

Thursday, May 18, 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. - Buses will be at FWRI from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and by Davis Hall from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

National Women's Health Week

Thursday, May 18, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. - FWRI holds clothing and toiletry drive in first floor conference room, FWRI Joint Use building. Gently used clothing and new toiletry items will be collected and donated to the Y-Village.

Partners in Progress

Friday, May 19 at 5 p.m. - Faculty and staff are invited to attend this signature event in the plaza of Residence Hall One. Karen A. White will take a comprehensive look at the impact of USF St. Petersburg on local corporations, schools and nonprofit organizations, as well as focus on the academic excellence of the campus during the past year.

Teacher Leadership Institute

May 19 and 20 -  A two-day seminar hosted by the COE to give leadership training to public school teachers and administrators who signed-up for the program.

National Women's Health Week

Friday, May 19, 9 a.m.– 5 p.m.- Chair massage in first floor conference room, FWRI Joint Use building. On site chair massages available for $10 per session (15 minutes) or $12 per session if payment is a check. Please call Michelle Mitchell or Kathy Kulaas if you would like an appointment at 727-896-8626. 

Volunteer for Campaign

Monday, May 22 - 6 p.m. - Any student, faculty or staff member wishing to learn more about federal and state candidates, receive literature or volunteer for a campaign has the opportunity to attend Judithanne Scourfield-McLauchlan's American National Government class. Representatives from a variety of political campaigns, both Democrat and Republican, will visit the class in Davis 215. Contact Scourfield-McLauchlan at jsm2@stpt.usf.edu for more information.

Retirement Party

Wednesday, May 24 at 2 p.m. in DAV 130 - USFSP will honor Physical Plant Director Ron Bugg's 21-years of service at a retirement gathering.

Coquina Pool activities beginning in May:

Water volleyball at Coquina pool Mondays from Noon – 1 p.m. beginning May 15th.  Open to students, faculty, staff and affiliates.

Lifeguarding class and summer swim lessons for children and adults begins Monday, May 22 at Coquina pool. 

Scuba diving lessons begin Tuesday, May 23. Contact Teresa Przetocki at tprzetoc@stpt.usf.edu for more information on all of these activities.

The USF St. Petersburg Waterfront invites students, faculty, staff, affiliates and alumni to visit the waterfront for our Summer Water Days. Bring up to two guests at no charge.

The pool is open, canoes, kayaks and sailboats are ready for you. Instructors will be available to help you every step of the way. Enjoy an afternoon of swimming, kayaking, canoeing, sailing or just lounging by the side of the pool.
