Residence Hall One Opens to
Students
The doors to Residence Hall One
opened Tuesday, Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. at the
official ribbon cutting dedication.
Regional Chancellor Karen A. White, President
Judy Genshaft, Campus Board Chair Debbie Sembler,
USF Board Of Trustees Chair Rhea Law and Student
Government President Megan Willloughby addressed a
crowd of 250 about USFSP’s growth and achievement.

for CAS Jim Gore, professor of
Enivonmental Science, Policy and Geography, will
serve as the interim College of Arts and Sciences
dean for the next year while a new search begins.

Caravan Opens Parking
Garage
A caravan of cars and other vehicles
launched the opening of the Fifth Avenue South
Parking Facility on Tuesday, Aug. 15. Everyone
celebrated the completion and opening of the new
garage and home of the USFSP Police Department.

Emergency Hurricane season began June 1,
and weather forecasters are predicting an active
season again this year. USF St. Petersburg urges
all faculty, staff and students to develop a
family emergency plan.

The Fitness Center and the Waterfront
Office begin a new check-in procedure Friday,
Sept. 1.
It will require all users of the two
facilities, including faculty, staff and students,
to register and possess a USF ID Card.

distributed from the CAC Activities Desk starting
