Bookstore Opening in Time for
Festival
Get ready to shop 'till you drop because
on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. the downtown
community will celebrate the grand opening of the
new Barnes and Noble USF St. Petersburg.
This academic super store will sell USF
merchandise and ultimately textbooks for students.

Change in Roles at College of
Business The College of Business now has
two new associate deans and a new MBA director. In
the past the college has had one associate dean
and an undergraduate advisor. Dean Geralyn
Franklin said faculty members have stepped up to
manage more responsibility.

Chief Justice Warns About
Partisanship
R. Fred Lewis, Chief Justice of the
Florida Supreme Court, was the speaker for USFSP's
Constitution Day event.
He was invited to speak by Judithanne
Scourfield McLauchlan, director of the Center
for Civic Engagement.

Noted Philosopher to Speak to
Community
Larry May, Professor of Philosophy at
Washington University in St. Louis, will lecture
on Friday, Oct. 13 in Davis Hall room 130.
May is the author and editor of numerous books
and scholarly articles. His 2004 book,
Crimes against Humanity: A Normative
Account, is the first of a trilogy with
Cambridge University Press.
