Governor Charlie Crist joined with Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Gerald Bailey and Florida’s local, state and private partners to commemorate National AMBER Alert Awareness Day at the governor’s new St. Petersburg office at USF St. Petersburg.

 Civic Engagement Fair Facilitates Service Learning
 

The Center for Civic Engagement has partnered with Volunteer Services to bring the "Are You Engaged? Civic Engagement Fair" to faculty, staff and students. The event will take place
Wednesday, Jan. 17 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-6 p.m. in the Coquina Walkway.

 When Senses Collide
 USFSP Hosts National Synesthesia Conference

The Sixth Annual National Meeting of the American Synesthesia Association is Friday, Jan. 26 through Sunday, Jan. 28 in Davis Hall. Synesthesia, which means joined senses, is a neurological condition in which two or more bodily senses are combined that occurs in approximately one in 2,000 people.

In celebration of Black History Month, Joe Rogers, the former lieutenant governor of Colorado, will deliver his tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, "Dream Alive," Tuesday, Jan. 30 at the Campus Activities Center at

 Ainscough Research Receives Credit
 

Thomas Ainscough, assistant professor of marketing in the College of Business, was recently awarded the Martin Opperman Best Article of the Year Award for his article "The Effect of Band, Agent and Price on Consumer Evaluation of Travel Services." The article was published in the Journal of Travel & Tourism Marketing.
