Campus Hires New Student Affairs Leader


 

Regional Chancellor Karen A. White has named D. Kent Kelso, PhD, as Regional Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. Kelso will begin June 4.

MBA Launches New Recruitment Campaign

 The USFSP MBA program launched its new advertising campaign Monday, March 12 targeting members of the business community with billboards throughout Pinellas County, web-marketing and direct mail.

On Thursday, March 27 35 prospective MBA students attended an MBA Information Session held in Davis Hall.

Honda Grand Prix Races Our Way 

 

The Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg is back on the streets of dowtown St. Petersburg March 30-April 1.

Alternate Looper Stop During Grand Prix


The USFSP Looper stop on 6th Avenue South will temporarily move to the sidewalk on 2nd Street South adjacent to the CAC March 29-April 1 due to the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.

The deadline to participate in the 2007 Tomorrow's Leaders Symposium is Thursday, March 29. Applications forms are available on the Tomorrow's Leaders Web site or at the Snell House.

The USFSP Faculty and Staff Luncheon is Wednesday, April 11 at the Campus Activities Center at noon. Nominate a coworker for the USF St. Petersburg USPS Outstanding Service Award and USF St. Petersburg A&P Excellence in Service award.

Oceanography Camp For Girls

 

If your daughter has an interest in the sciences, foster that curiosity by encouraging her to apply for the Oceanography Camp for Girls summer program. 


The camp is led by Teresa Greely, Ph.D. of the College of Marine Sciences and is a special three-week day camp for girls that will take place in June.

 USFSP volunteers organized the track events for the Area VI Special Olympics at Lakewood High School Saturday, March 3.

"Our campus volunteers make a big difference in the events they participate in," said Barry McDowell, coordinator of volunteer services. "We are greatly appreciative of their services and hope to keep attracting more people who are eager to help."
