Students Get Perspective on
Diversity
Business
students learned firsthand about disabilities in their Managing Diversity Class taught
by Delaney Kirk, Ph.D., a visiting full professor of management.
After several hands-on
activities dealing with disabilities, students found that they had
specific questions about how to manage someone who is blind or in a
wheelchair. To get their answers, they went directly to the experts.

Summer Splash Camps Still
Open
Get your children geared up
for summer fun. USFSP is hosting four week-long Summer Splash Camps
throughout the month of June for children ages 7-13.
The
camps are designed to help students feel comfortable in the water and
enjoy the water safely, while participating in water-related
activities. Camp sessions run Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
beginning June 4.

Koski Award Winner Named
Margaret
Brill, a graduating senior at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater,
was presented the 2007 Cheryl A. Koski Award on April 19, a $500 award
that goes annually to a woman 30 years or older graduating with the
highest grade point average in the College of Letters and Sciences.
Brill had a 3.8 GPA with a major in geography.

Channeling Shakespeare at Sonnet-thon
John
Conlon, Ph.D., adjunct professor of literature, language and writing
and founder of St. Petersburg Shakespeare Project, coordinated the
second annual Sonnet-thon that took place Sunday, April 22 at the St.
Petersburg Little Theatre.
