Graduate students and teacher candidates have a new opportunity for funding their studies. The College of Education at USF St. Petersburg has a new scholarship opportunity for 35 students interested in obtaining their master’s degrees with certification in Special Education and ESOL; Elementary Education and ESOL; and Reading.

USF St. Petersburg alumni Teresa and Paul Mueller recently made a gift of $100,000 to create a scholarship endowment for USF St. Petersburg accounting students.

Festival of Reading Returns to Campus

The 14th Annual St. Petersburg Times Festival of Reading is Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will once again be held here at USF St. Petersburg. More than 60 celebrated authors will be in attendance and among them some of our own faculty authors.

USF St. Petersburg Celebrates Grand Opening of Barnes & Noble Bookstore

Barnes & Noble College Booksellers and USF St. Petersburg will celebrate the grand opening of the new Barnes & Noble USF St. Petersburg superstore on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 11 a.m. The new bookstore is located at 500 Third Street South in downtown St. Petersburg. The event is open to the public and will include music, samples from the bookstore café and prizes.

A Step into the Future, Residence Hall Opens for Students

It offers beautiful views overlooking downtown St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay. Now, the colorful new addition to USF St. Petersburg, the first residence hall, makes history Tuesday, August 22 with a formal dedication at 11 a.m.

Commission Recommends USFSP for Separate Accreditation

The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools has recommended full and separate accreditation to USF St. Petersburg.
