Anita Sahgal, Psy.D., Clinical Director, Psychologist

Dr. Sahgal, a licensed clinical psychologist, has worked at the Center for Counseling, Health, & Wellness since January 2008 and became Clinical Director in January 2009. Dr. Sahgal received her degree in Clinical Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology.  She has trained and worked with people of all backgrounds and in many different settings, including:  community mental health centers, hospitals, university counseling centers, and private practice. Dr Sahgal approaches her clinical work from an integrative and holistic perspective, emphasizing developmental and cultural dynamics.  Her areas of interest are: mind-body wellness, gay/lesbian issues, relationship concerns, women’s issues, group therapy, and training.

 

Tania Sales, Psy.D., Psychologist.

Dr. Sales is a licensed clinical psychologist. She received her degree in Clinical Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. Dr Sales has worked at the Center for Counseling and Wellness as a consultant at various times since 2003. Her clinical interests include: identity development, relationship issues, eating disorders and body image, family of origin issues, depression and anxiety and diversity issues. She also has a strong interest in psychotherapy training and executive coaching and leadership development. Dr Sales has worked in a variety of clinical settings including several college counseling centers, hospital, business and leadership development programs and private practice. Dr Sales works from an integrative approach that is rooted in psychodynamic/interpersonal theory.

 

Jessica E. Moe, M.A. Practicum Therapist

Jessica Moe has a B.A. in social work and a minor in psychology from University of South Florida. Shereceived her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology (FSPP) at Argosy University in Tampa, Florida. She is scheduled to receive her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology (formerly known as FSPP) in 2011. Jessica completed her therapy practicum at New College of Florida's Counseling and Wellness Center. Her areas of interest are, but not limited to: interpersonal patterns, relationship issues, anxiety, and women's issues.

 

Arian Marquez, M.A.,M.S. Practicum Therapist

Arian Marquez, a Florida native, received his B.A. in Psychology from University of South Florida, and his Masters in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Tampa. He is scheduled to receive his Doctorate in 2010. Arian previously worked in community mental heath with clients of all ages, in addition to substance abuse rehabilitation and as a counselor within the school system. He is fluent in English and Spanish. His clinical interests include: working with gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender/questioning individuals, multicultural psychology, substance abuse disorders, anxiety, and mood disorders. Arian’s approach to therapy relies heavily on a blend of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and interpersonal theories, while implementing solution focused techniques to help clients achieve therapeutic goals.

 

Lori Anderson, B.A., Staff Assistant

Lori received her B.A. in College of Business from University of South Florida.  She is responsible for the daily operations of the Counseling Center office including:  website editing, travel, purchasing, budgeting, client scheduling, correspondence, special projects, and supervising support personnel.
