USF Sailing Alumni

We're trying to compile a list of everyone who has sailed for USF since the team started. That list is started below with a lot of names missing. If you are omitted and would like to be added, please e-mail us. If we've messed something up, let us know that too. We'd like to keep better track of the team's history so that students for years to come will know who helped contribute to this team. Go Bulls!!!!

GIVING TO USF SAILING

At USF sailing, we sincerely appreciate any support we can get from friends, alumni, and the community. Our goal is to be one of the top sailing teams in the country, but we need your help to make this dream become a reality.

We are currently raising money to help fund our travel budget and the purchase of new boats to replace our old ones in the summer of 2005. We would like to increase our travel budget through donations so that we can travel to regattas up north and get more people on the team sailing (not just the top 4 sailors). A deeper team is a more competitive team and it helps us maintain Title IX compliance as well. Travel money helps us achieve all of these goals. We want to continue to keep our team open to USF students regardless of sailing experience and we appreciate any support you can give.

We also want to replace our old boats and increase our fleet to 18 by 2006/2007 so that our program will have the same number of boats as other top competitors in college sailing. Increasing our fleet will insure that we won't have to leave any USF students on the dock and that we can host major regattas like the Atlantic Coast Championships in the future. With an increase in recruit interest we know that we need to take the final step to make our fleet of boats full size.

We are also in need of a houseboat, pontoon boat, or open floating platform for rotations during regattas. If you are interested in donating any such items, please call 727-USF-4518.

A link to give cash donations earmarked for the sailing teams are below. Enter key word search "sailing team". Please choose between the women's sailing and coed sailing foundation. Both benefit the team as a whole so it really doesn't matter who the money is earmarked to. Click on the link to give online and then scroll down to the keyword search.

Donate to the Sailing Teams!

If you would prefer to contribute by mail, make your check payable to USF Foundation and send to USF Sailing Team 140 7th Ave S COQ 108 St. Petersburg, FL 33703.

Thanks for your help!!!

Go Bulls!!!!
