USF COACHING STAFF

The goals of the USF sailing team coaches are to continue the tradition of strong team performances nationally, foster leadership skills in the experienced sailors, improve the skill levels of all sailors, recruit new members to ensure the future success of the team, promote the sport of sailing to the entire student body, and to develop a plan for replacing the current fleet of boats with new ones.

COED COACH

Gonzalo Crivello is from Rosario, Argentina. As a youth, he was on the winning Argentian National Optimist Team Racing Championships, raced Cadets, and competed at the Snipe Junior World Championships as a member of the Argentian National team.

After moving to Miami, he coached the Club 420 team at Coral Reef Yacht Club, the Miami Ransom Everglades High School sailing team, and continued racing his Snipe, qualifying for the Snipe Western Hemispheres as a member of Team USA. This is his first year with USF.

WOMEN'S COACH

Coach JollyAllison Jolly is in her fourth year at USF. Born and raised in St. Petersburg, she has raced a wide variety of boats on Tampa Bay. Her primary focus, though, has been high-performance planing dinghies.

She won two Collegiate Women’s National Championship "A" division titles, two US Women’s Sailing Championship titles, and was twice named the US Yachtswoman of the Year.

The highlight of her sailing career was winning the first ever women's Olympic Sailing event at the 1988 Olympics in Korea, in 470's.
