The ALANA Mentor Program (AMP) groups transfer and first year ALANA students with a student mentor and a faculty advisor based on common interest. Mentors and advisors assist students with acclimating to campus life at USF St. Petersburg. The ALANA mentors/advisors play an integral role in working with students for the first year of their college experience at USFSP. Students will gain an understanding and appreciation of the campus culture, be introduced to co-curricular activities and receive assistance achieving academic and personal growth.

Who is eligible?

Mentees: USF St. Petersburg freshmen and transfer students of color are encouraged to participate. All students are welcome. Click here for Mentor Application.

Applications are due wedenesday, September 10, 2008

Time commitment:                                                                                                 

• Mentors and mentees are expected to meet biweekly.                                              
• All participants are encouraged to attend the first meeting of the semester-TBA.
• Mentees and student mentors are encouraged to attend monthly workshops and meetings.
• All participants are invited to attend the "Fall Reception" and "End of the Year Banquet".
